Involvement of students in the learning process while encouraged by the efforts to meet the desires held by students in learning and varied levels. Student desires is owned motivation.
motivation is defined as efforts that encourage someone to do something or can also be regarded as the driving force of the subject to perform certain activities and achieve goals.
Term motivation is used a lot in various fields and situations, but in this paper is more focused on motivation in education, especially in teaching and learning activities.
In teaching and learning activities, known presence of motivation to learn, which is determined motivation in learning activities, so the motivation to learn is the whole idea and the driving force in the student learning activities that give rise, ensuring continuity of learning for the sake of achieving a goal.
Along with understanding the motivation to learn the above, that motivating students is to create conditions such that the child will do what it can do. While the definition of motivation as a conscious effort by the teacher to pose motivation on a self-supporting activities of the students towards learning goals.
From the description above, it can be concluded that a person can act if there is a will in which manifested itself in concrete deeds, besides that it possessed a willingness to be developed from the outside to be able to do something in order to achieve goals.

Professional education program consisting of Diploma III, IV and diploma, aims to prepare students to be members of the public who have the ability to apply professional in develop, and disseminate technology and the use of art and trying to improve people’s lives and enrich the national culture.
Professional Education is additional education after undergraduate education to gain expertise and professional designation in a particular fieldSemester is a unit of work activity time 16 to 19 weeks of classes or other scheduled activities, the following side activity, including 2 to 3 weeks of assessment activities.
Semester Credit System is a measure of respect for the learning experience gained during a semester through scheduled activities per week for 1 hour or 2 hour lab lecture, or 4 hours of field work, each accompanied by about 1-2 hours of structured activities and about 1 – 2 hours of independent activity.
